Privacy Policy

1. Local-first by design

DressClan is built local-first. Your wardrobe items, photos, outfit plans, and family member profiles are stored on your devices using Apple's on-device storage — they are not uploaded to DressClan servers. Garment recognition and outfit planning run on your iPhone. If you enable Premium sync, your data is also stored in your private iCloud account so it stays in sync across your devices — still never on our servers.

No account is required to use DressClan's core features. You can add items, manage family wardrobes, and generate outfit plans without signing in.

2. Optional sign-in

DressClan offers optional Sign in with Apple for features that need it (such as restoring purchases or future sync features). If you choose to sign in, we receive only the limited information Apple shares — typically a unique identifier and, if you permit it, your name and email. We use this solely to provide the signed-in features you requested.

3. What we do not collect

• We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
• We do not include third-party advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking in the app.
• We do not upload your wardrobe photos or outfit data to our servers.
• We do not build advertising profiles about you or your family.

4. Optional anonymous analytics

To improve DressClan, you may opt in to sharing anonymous usage analytics — for example, which features are used and whether the app crashes. This data is tied only to a random install ID (not your name, email, or Apple ID), contains no wardrobe photos or personal content, and is used solely to fix bugs and improve the product. You can opt out at any time in the app's settings; opting out deletes the install ID and stops all uploads. Analytics are off by default until you choose to enable them.

5. Discover and affiliate links

The Discover tab may show shopping suggestions from retail partners. If you tap a suggestion, you are taken to the retailer's website or app in your own browser — DressClan does not share your wardrobe data with retailers. Standard affiliate attribution (the retailer knowing you arrived via DressClan) may apply when you make a purchase, as disclosed in the app.

6. Subscriptions and payments

DressClan Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment card details — Apple handles all billing, and their privacy policy applies to payment information.

7. Children's privacy

DressClan is a family app: the signed-in parent may create wardrobe profiles for their children. Children's wardrobe data is stored on the parent's device just like any other wardrobe data and is never uploaded to our servers. The optional anonymous analytics described above contain no children's personal information — only aggregate feature-usage events tied to a random install ID. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes your wardrobe data with it. If you signed in with Apple and want any server-side account record removed, email us at hello@dressclan.com and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of DressClan after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
